Lisedeyken bi tarih defterim vardi. Yakops'u dinlerken tutuyordum. Post modern bitarih defteriydi. Ilk defa Freud'un Musa hakkindaki teorilerini yazarak baslamistim;
Musa efsanesini zamanin Misir'ina bakarak yeniden olusturmaya calisiyordu. Bunun
sonrasinda Freud'dan cok Yakops'tan esinlenerek not tuttum gayet yaratici bir sekilde. O defteri elime gecirsem cok iyi olabilir. O kadar ders sonunda neden Turk olmakla ilgili hic bir sey ogrenemedigimi ogrenirim belki.

Asagidakileri bu sabah yazmisim.. Hangi editörde acabaaaaaa? ;)

Valla hayattan cok sIkIldIm.

AynI motivasyonun permutasyonlarini yazmaktan, konferans aramaktan (FOSSACS to ICALP to AMAST to CONCUR to SEFM), insanlarin ne yaptigini anlamamaktan, insanlarin benim ne yaptigimi anlamamasindan, kendimin ne yaptigimi anlamamaktan, Izmir'siz kalmaktan, istedigim seyler icin cabalamayip baska her seyin pesinden kosarken helak olmaktan.

Yine de cok guzel socukler var. Helak, muallak.. (Yasatmaya yetmese de insani.)

Sonra bi de kotumser diyorlar...

boredom and snow...existential enemies..

ps. boredom and winter?
"İnsan, bir öteki insan bulabilir kendinde, eğer hakikaten de kaptırıp kendini bakabilirse kendine başka bir yerden. Uzun ilişkilerde, en sevdiğinden bile bıkabiliyorsa, insan kendini nasıl sever hep kendi gibiyse."

My first day in the new office

Well well well.. At last I am a proud member of the computer science department. This first day was spent with trivial but essential tasks such as:
  • Get an account
  • Fix e-mail system
  • Fix access to previous and new files through laptop
  • Fix the printers
  • Fix shelves for books and other stuff immediately needed

The day resulted in the emergence of several other boring tasks which are applications to the licentiate defense and Ph.D. There is some hope that I can still become a doctor of philosophy and not a doctor of technology. Really how banal is that to be a doctor of technology...

I don't think I should still be in the office... I have to deal with multi thread stuff tonight and possibly catch this new tv series, Commander in Chief was it? (Trying to ask studiox)

Using this wireless connection is sort of annoying. Keeps disappearing and helps me learn my new password by repeating it again and again and again.

Met my new office mate, M. Nice guy, soothing somehow.

Anyways, and tonight i will be maintaining contact with the new generation.
